Wendy Taylor CBE

(b. 1945), trained at St Martin’s School of Art, and has produced over 80 large-scale site-specific sculptures. Timepiece (St Katharine Docks, London) and Octo (central Milton Keynes) and Mariner’s Astrolabe (Virginia Settlers Memorial London) are Grade II listed. Her solo exhibitions include shows at Angela Flowers, Annely Juda Fine Art, Canary Wharf, Building Centre Gallery, Cass Sculpture Foundation Gallery London, and galleries in Oxford and Dublin. She has exhibited in over 100 group shows. 

 

 An award winning Fellow of the Royal Society of Sculptors, she has undertaken many prestigious commissions and was the subject of a monograph by Edward Lucie-Smith and a South Bank Show with Melvyn Bragg. Her work is in public collections including V&A; Arts Council England; Henry Moore Institute; British Council;  Geffrye Museum; Golder’s Hill Park; London Borough of Camden; Leicester Museum; Dudley Museum;and major galleries abroad.
